The experience and skills of the BIAS owner translate to thorough inspections that provide property owners with peace of mind around their largest investment. BIAS is commissioned by builders, architects and designers to handle their inspection work.

Pre-purchase of an existing home
If you are buying an existing home, often a condition of sale is a building inspection report. Using a qualified builder rather than an inspector often means more structural or potential ‘hidden’ problems may be picked up and reported on. Advice can be provided on any remediation of potential problems.

New home construction
Not just for the purpose of bank payments, now some new homeowners want progress building inspections carried out to ensure a high standard of work throughout the build. Waiting until the practical completion inspection can cause delays and compromise quality so regular inspections are completed by BIAS.

BIAS offer two options – the 3 step or 5 step inspection – the choice is yours.

3 Steps:

Slab Inspection

Progress Inspection

Practical Completion Inspection

5 Steps:

Slab Inspection

Brickwork Inspection

Roof Framing Inspection

Roof Cover Inspection

Practical Completion Inspection

Pest Control Advisory
If you discover termites in your house, a thorough inspection by a qualified builder can give you an accurate report on the state of live pests and any cosmetic or structural damage your house has sustained. Information on damage and action required will be provided but BIAS does not carry out any pest control work or recommend any companies.

Remediation
Some building projects don’t go as smooth as they should either at the time of building or when problems are exposed years later. BIAS inspects and reports on remediation work needed to comply with all building codes.

If you are unsure if remediation work is required, contact BIAS for an initial phone discussion.

Asbestos
Many homes in WA built or renovated before 1990 contain asbestos. BIAS can inspect the property and report on the percentage of asbestos present, conduct air monitoring and provide a clearance certificate. BIAS is a licensed asbestos assessor (RAL001 Restricted Asbestos Licence) and does not carry out any removal.

If you have any queries or want more information about any of the inspection services BIAS provides, call 0429 922 010 or email for a no obligation discussion.
